MINISTRIES

Northwest has a long history of meeting people's physical, spiritual, and relational needs. Most of our ministries began when a member wanted to use their gifts or felt convicted to create a new ministry to serve others. Our leaders love enabling and empowering member-led ministries. We have dozens of ministries serving the church, community, and the global Kingdom in many big and small ways. A few of our major ministry focus areas are below.

Children Praying
Children's

First and foremost, our children's ministry believes that God desires parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their children. We provide resources, training, and opportunities to equip and empower parents to instill a life-long faith in their kids.

Additionally, our children's ministry has many activities for kids up to 6th grade. We have Bible classes for all ages on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. We have nursery and children's worship on Sundays. We have several parent seminars each year and have church camps and summer activities for older kids.

Missions

We love missions. We fund missions. We go on mission trips. We seek and save the lost in our own neighborhoods every week. The Family Honduras Mission trip each summer is one of our highlights, with 20-25 members building houses, connecting with teens, and serving the poor. Each year we raise over $100,000 to support mission work in countries on five continents. Locally we partner with local schools to help families and each Friday and Saturday vans go out to serve food to homeless people and on Sundays we provide transportation to join us for worship.

Adults

From young adult game nights to our Freedom to Serve ministry which keeps our senior adults involved while meeting their needs, we have all kinds of ministries for adults of every age. We have an active women's and men's ministry, with different service opportunities, classes, and retreats. Our Bible class program is excellent and Lifegroups meet in homes on most weeks. And of course, we are always looking for adults to serve and be involved in our children's, youth, and family ministries.

Youth

Like all of our family ministries, our youth ministry is focused on helping the entire family grow closer to God and closer to one another. We offer resources and opportunities for parents and other adults to pour into our teenagers, helping to connect them to God and the church.

Our youth group is involved in Winterfest, retreats, local and out-of-state church camps, service projects, mission trips to Honduras, and much, much more. Our teens are constantly on the move finding fun adventures to learn about God, themselves, and what it all means for their life.
